It actually is based on coverage. Usually for color printing companies base there ink on 10% - 20% coverage. So state you print a full page in color and it is based on 10% coverage you will get 24 pages like that. If it was 20% coverage you would be 48 pages like that. You’ll never get 240 pages unless each color page you print matches the coverage they say it will produce.

It should state how many pages AT what saturation point…20%…50%…85%..????? don't anticipate to find the answer!!! its just giving you an indication of the MAXimum pages THEY tested at. Obviously full 8×10 photos will take more ink than the standard 4×6.

Actually, it doesnt mean anything! Its simply an advertising ploy. It may simply mean 240 pages of text with a dab of color in them.
