I have a Brother DCP-130C And I have a full black ink cartridge, but my printer still refuses to print because the cyan, yellow and red cartridges aren't in the printer.
Is there any way you can make the printer print a text page without having to replace the colour ink?

You still need to put the color cartrdige in , even if empty , so that you can use the black cartridge.
What you need to do is go in the printer menu of the Brother, and select “Print all text in black ” or “Use black only”

No. Unfortunately the printer will wait until all color inkjet cartridges have been refilled before allowing you to print with the black one… Sucks hunh? Its a ploy to get you to purchase more toner.

No other way. You must replace any empty ink cartridge in your printer in order to continue printing.

my printer is like that too….. no way around it- put the color cartridges in and it will work fine
