each time i look on ebay for cannon ip4300 ink cartridges it seems all of them are chipped , will this cause it to have problems ,and wot does chipped mean ?

In my experience compatible chipped cartridges for this printer (which uses the CLI-8s) are in fact very reliable. Just be sure you are buying them from a reputable retailer like the one that I included in the “source” area below.

No it won’t cause a problem in fact the opposite.
Without the chip the printer will not work as it contains all the details of how much ink, what colour it is etc.
So in simple terms of what is a chip? The chip is a microchip that contains information to allow the printer to print.
