my friend gave me a lexmark p915 printer with no disc or usb cable, but i dont know if this printer requires a disc for the computer to recognize it,or will windows find the info

As far as i know all printers need a disk,Just look on the lexmark website and download it,You will have to purchase a usb cable for it.

Yes you do need a disk , but your friend has done you no favours as Lexmark inks are the dearest in the world. Check out the prices of all compatible inks.
