Are you using regular paper or a specialty/heavier paper? If heavier paper, try one sheet at a time to see if that’ll work.
Have you checked to see that the lever is set to the proper paper size (some have tiny pics for tractor paper, regular paper or even envelopes). Make sure it is the correct setting, as it sometimes can get bumped or forgotten to be returned to the normal setting after using a special setting.
Check to see if any debris has fallen inside. Usually you will find a paper clip, staple or piece of paper that has wedged itself in the wrong spot.
I advocate you unplug the printer, remove any loose parts/trays/paper guides, etc. Then carefully turn the printer upside down and GENTLY move the printer back and forth, up and down, side to side and try to dislodge whatever may have been stuck in there. You might need a second pair of hands to help.
You can also open the printer top, find the paper rollers and using a q-tip dampened with alcohol gently rub the rollers that would pull your paper in to remove paper dust that accumulates in there.
