Does it cost money to fax something from your own personal printer? Are there printers that use just one b/w ink cartridge and one color cartridge at the same time?

I have an HP F4180. Before it prints anything I get this message on the personal. “Spooler SubSystem App has came across a problem and needs to close.” This happens every time I turn on my personal and printer. After this message appears the computer fails to recognize the printer is on and connected. On the web support said nothing about what Spooler SubSystem App is or how I fix the problem.

Answer:
Make sure the print spool service is enabled.
Right click on this service then click on restart will flush it out
click on begin
click on run
type: services.msc
scroll down to print spooler make sure that is started and set to auto
now click on begin
click on printers and faxes
click on file
click on server properties
click on drivers
make sure there’s only one listing for HP F4100 series driver
click on advanced
click and check on log spooler information events
click apply then okay

Try this again..
If you're still getting errors.
Do this..

Go into the control panel
click on add/remove programs
uninstall HP software packages with the driver
unplug the USB from the printer
pull out the power cord also
do not reboot the system just yet
click on system (control panel)
click on hardware and then device manager
scroll down to Universal Serial Bus
uninstall all USB items
don't worry XP will rebuilt the USB list again.
Now reboot the system
Once everything has loaded and windows has found USB
Re-install the CD with HP software and driver
Wait for the software to tell you to connect the printer to the USB port

Still having issues then it's the F4100 all-in-one that has an issue. You can contact HP for repair, mostly they'll send you a new one.

Answer:
I’ve a HP PSC 1410 on XP.

I'd recommend you go 'Start' then click on 'Search.' Search for 'Spooler SubSystem' and see what comes up.

Definitions:

Spooler - A personal program that sequences print jobs by temporarily storing them in a buffer and sending each to the printer when the printer is able to process it. Also called print spooler.

SubSystem - Component of a larger system. For example, the financial, marketing, record-keeping, and production systems are subsystems or components of a Management Information System (MIS).

Answer:
