Lexmark guy keeps saying “Printing started” and then “printing complete” and interrupting my conversations/music/work (etc).
How do I get him to shut the hell up??

To cease this darn printer from saying “printing started/completed” you need to go to the Lexmark SOftware Center. There should be a voice option in it. In mine, I had to click on “troubleshooting” then “voice/skins” and then I had the option of unclicking the sound option.

That is Lexmark for you: annoying.
On the control panel, look for printers, open the folder and look for printer properties for the offending printer. - under File/ properties
Under advanced you could find the sound settings.
You could change the general sound settings on your machine ie how windows responds to various tasks, no sound or a specific sound.
