Is there a cheaper substitute for my replacement ink cartrdiges? Can you put transfer paper in printers?

Our office recently bought a Xerox WC 7328 machine and paid an absurd amount of money for dry ink toner. I was wondering, how long the toner would last in the machine and how many duplicates one dry ink toner cartridge would print before it ran out. Thanks in advance for any help!

Answer:
According to the Xerox website

“Xerox Black Toner - 6R1175
For use in the CopyCentre and WorkCentre Pro C2128, C2636 and C3545
For use in the WorkCentre 7328/7335/7345
Average yield: 26,000 copies at 5% area coverage “

Note that's the same toner for your machine.

But if you print lots of high coverage photos etc, that figure of No of pages plummets.

Colour toners are about 16,000

Answer:
Toner yields for any printer is based on coverage. The industry uses 5-6% coverage as a basis to estimate what the toner will yield. 5-6% coverage normally refers to a normal office document, whereas a full color picture copy can use 20+% coverage easily reducing the life of your cartridge considerably.

You should be able to print a report that shows your supplies usage and page count and then do a tiny math to see how long your toner should last based on the 2 answers you’ve so far.
