All you need is a scanner, scan your document and save it as a jpeg file, if you you want to send it via email open your jpeg file copy and paste it on word doc. and click save file, then attach it on your email account..

this question is very vague. What does it mean for a document to be “on” a printer? How did the document get to your printer? What kind of printer do you have?
In the old days a printer used to be a man with glasses and ink on his fingers like Benjamin Franklin.
If the printer has printed out the document then you might think about using a scanner to scan in the printed document. Or if you want to just save it and keep it away from mice and coffee, keep it in a file cabinet!
