Will the HP 97 ink work? Also, what is the difference between 99 and 95 (yeild, and etc)?
Answer:
Your printer takes the 92 black or the 98 black, and the 95 color. The 97 will not work in your printer. The 92 contains only 6 milliliters of ink with a max yield of 210 pages while the 98 contains 12 milliliters of ink with a max page yield of 400 pages. I'd recommend the 98, it doesn't cost twice as much but holds twice as much ink, and you'll change cartridges half as often resulting in less wasted ink.
As for the 99 and 95, they’re absolutely different cartridges. The 99 is used in place of the black cartridge, it it is a tricolor cartridge containing pic black, light cyan and light magenta. It is used to provide 6 color printing for pics instead of the standard 4 colors you'd get with a black and your 95 color.
The 95 color contains only cyan, magenta and yellow. It is the standard color cartridge, and can not be replaced with the 99. The two are configured differently, the 99 will not fit where the 95 does, it will only fit where the black cartridge fits.
