I found the manual on HP's own site.http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00…
Edit
I have an HP Photosmart and the paper DOES not get put in the back as the poster below has stated. It feds from the front and there is NO back paper feeders on them at all.
Pull down the panel in the front - it will be a differant color. You will see that there is a little grey paper keep thing, which is called a paper-width guide. This should be to the left if not slide it over to the left. The paper goes in on the very botton of the printer floor and that grey thing moves to keep hold of the paper as it take different sizes.
The paper rather smartly feds in from the front and then goes up and over and come out the same front end but a bit above where you put the paper - this is a continues action.
As for the other comment below about it not photocopying as its an all in one. Most all in ones actually DO photocopy indepent of it being attached to a computer. Its called STAND ALONE printing and the HP model you have DOES do stand alone replicating and also will print pictures either directly from your personal, memory stick etc, or will photocopy them and then can enlarge them - there is a photocopy menu button that you can set to enlarge or reduce the image.
So you can:
Print pictures.
You can photocopy and enlarge pictures either while connected to you personal or when not.
You can print pictures directy from the printer via memory stick and devices.
You can upload from the memory stick or devices picture to you personal to store in My Photos and print as when you like.
You can scan in old pictures to save on your personal.
I love the paper fed.It makes the unit neat, both in terms of compact wise and fun wise! Email me if wish and I’ll try to help with it further, but the manual is the ideal thing to print off as it is quite straight forward.

The 7850 can’t function as a color copier. It is not an “all-in-one”. So – no – you can’t copy a pic. As for the papers – you should put it in the back.
