I installed new ink cartridge one year ago, but only printed less than 10 pages so far, now I find the printing is terrible, very faded and uneven.

Most likely it dried out. If suggested above cleaning with dump cloth will not work, you can try one of the printer cartridge cleaning solutions, like one here: http://fillserv.com/cic/product.php?prod…
Take cartridge out, fill some small tray with the solution and leave cartridge in that for an hour. Make sure liquid covers nozzles.

Take out the ink cartridge and use a damp cloth to wipe off the dry ink. It will work like new after that.
