why do printers ink have to be different and costly from all the rest
why can't there just be one ink cartridge to go for all printers ?
it would be allot simpler and helpfuler
Answer:
It's because of greed by the printer manufacturers; they make their money on ink, not the printers. Try ink-sell.com for reasonable cartridge replacements and refill kits.
Answer:
it's because most printer manufacturers dont make money on the sale of the printers. if you look at the price of printers, there much cheaper then the cost of the ink.
the main money maker of these companies is the sales of there ink. which they claim they spend big amounts developing and testing.
but the problem with only 1 company making the ink would be that they could fix prices (it happens anyway) th eprinters would be very costly and break pretty easily so you would have to purchase another, and manufacturers would have to design there printers around someone else's designs and flaws.
since printers change all the time, get superior quality, and smaller/higher resolutions, it would be hard for any 3rd celebration company to keep up.
you can get unbranded ink or refill kits that are much cheaper.
Answer:
yes but that's for you! not for them.
i can buy a printer now for £50 and it has everything including WIFI but the ink is more then £30?
but if you get a laser printer it can last for ages!
+cost of the printer = -cost of the ink
-cost of the printer = +cost of the ink
