Step1
Locate the “On” button located on the top right side of the Lexmark 2600 Series Printer Scanner. Turn the unit on by pressing and releasing the “On” button one time.
Step2
Raise the scanner unit until it locks into place. Grant the print cartridge carrier to move to the loading position. Wait for the print cartridge carrier to halt moving.
Step3
Locate the color print cartridge in the carrier on the right. Release the empty color print cartridge by pressing down on the cartridge carrier latch. Raise the cartridge carrier lid. Remove the empty color cartridge by pulling it straight up. Place the empty cartridge in the plastic bag and set aside for recycling.
Step4
Remove the new color cartridge from its packaging. Remove the protective tape from the nozzle and connector on the back and bottom of the color cartridge. Dispose of the protective tape.
Step5
Install the new color cartridge into the right cartridge carrier slot. Close the cartridge carrier lid. Press down on the cartridge carrier lid until it clicks into place.
Step6
Raise the scanning unit slightly. Release the scanning unit support. Close the scanning unit.
