I just installed a new black ink cartridge in by dell printer the ink is from dell too. When I print something the page comes out white the text is gone what should i do its on Mircrsoft if that helps

This is probably a dumb question, but - did you remove the piece of protection tape before installation?
Also try removing the cartridge and cleaning the electrical contacts with a piece of tissue or paper towel.
Another thing to try: gently wipe the bottom business surface with a damp tissue; the tissue should get pretty inky.
If nothing works, the cartridge might be faulty; complain to Dell.
The screen which asks you to choose the best print configuration assumes that a printed test page came out of your printer; your selections would be based on the best choices on that printed page.

check if it does this with everything you print. Also make sure you remove the plastic strip from the back of the cartridge.
