Setting up a wireless printer connection Why my printer is not printing?
Aug 05

I have had problems with my printer as it won't print out black. According to the indicator I did have ink in the cartriage. I went ahead and changed it anyways putting a new one in. It still won't print out black. It does print out colour. I am about to throw this thing out the window. I need to print out something today….help

Answer:
I've got one.

Connect the printer, turn it on, & open the 'preferences' or 'options'.

Look for the Advanced tab, click, and check the box 'Black & White' printing.

Answer:
It sounds like a clogged printhead. You need to do a nozzle check/test page to verify if any black is getting through the printhead. If there is not any black getting through the printhead, you need to do a printhead cleaning. Also as soon as you can, get rid of the Kodak and switch to a different brand. Top printers are HP, Epson and Canon. Stick with one of these. My preference is the Epson, for a number of different reasons, but any of them will do a heck of a lot better job than the Kodak.

If you need any more help/information, let me know.
