Printer Help hp deskjet F380? Why is scanner alone costlier than an inkjet printer, with “copy, scan, print” features?
Oct 02

I typically manually change to 300 each time I print, simply so that I use less ink (I don't usually need higher res duplicates of what I print) through the advanced printing preferences.

Is there a way to change it so that instead of making this manual change 75% of the time, I set the default at the lower dots/inch and only change to the higher when I need to?

I have an OLD workhorse of a printer….black ink only, as it's an HP LaserJet 1100 (works amazingly well for being about 10 yrs old!).

Thanks!!

Answer:
Unfortunately there is not.

If you begin a program and make that change at the beginning it should stay the whole time you are in that program.

Answer:
I had the same problem with my Brother laser.

I found the answer in my Brother User Manual.

Try it, then see if others had similar problems on HP's Forums and FAQs.
