I use HP Deskjet 5748. I recently refilled an empty cartridge 855. After refilling the computer give a message that problem with cartridge please reinsert. I followed all instructions still i can't use it. please give me suggestions and help me………………………or either give me an substitute

You can only refill 3 times maximum before the printhead dies. If it's your first refill, then you probably have air in the cartridge which will prevent the printer from functioning properly.

It is entirely possible that the cartridge is no good. I personally don't suggest refilling cartridges but I can comprehend why people do because of the crazy prices of new ones. What I would suggest is getting a new one. You can even turn your old one in for $3 credit if you take it to a Staples store for recycling.

umm just trouble shoot everything.. look to see if you put it in the colour side, took the tiny tape thingy off, if its the right cartridge for that printer.. thats all I can think of
