first of all my computer can’t recognize my printer, thats why im trying to uninstall it so that i can reinstall it.. but the problem is, whenever i try to click “uninstall” into the CD it just loads a bit then ater that nothing happens….. I've tried removing it to the control panel, and it was REMOVED but not all ,when i boot the hp installer cd there’s still the uninstall button! why? now how can i install the new one, when i cant get rid of the “uninstall” button to change into “install”?

YES, i have tried it into safe mode! so dont tell me to do it….. or is it the drivers??? if yes how can i remove it! pls help!!!!!!!!!


Answer:
1. Did you unplug the printer from the computer?

2. When you removed it from the control panel did you also check Add/Remove Programs?

3. After removing it from there and the Device manager (Right Click on My Computer | Click on Properties, Hardware Tab and Device manger)

–if you are running vista it will be Right Click on My Personal | Click on Properties and then on Device manager on the left hand side of the screen

Remove anything under printers.

Reboot into Safe-mode. Make sure the device manager does not show anything under printers.

Make sure under “program files” there is not a listing for the printer.

Then reboot.

3. Once in Windows, run the CD only plugging the printer in when prompted to.

If this does not work you can check HP's website for manual removal instructions or post the Model number and we can try to help you get manual removal instructions for the drivers.

Try this.go to MY COMPUTER and right click it.Then click Properties.Then click Device manager.Then find your printer from the list.Right click it and then click DISABLE.
