Is it a powder form of ink cartridges for laser printers only? Can you get different colours in them or only black? Do you know any websites that sell colour (if available). I want the blue print effect that was used to print architectural plans with but I have heard they don’t use that no more.
Answer:
Toner is the equivalent of ink in a ink jet. It's stuck to the paper by heat to put it simply.
Yes you’ve the primary colours for the laser as well as black.
Blue prints were made long before computers and table/plotter printers. It was the equivalent of Photostatting. Very old hat now.
Answer:
Yes, it's powder that is fused to the paper when printing in a laser printer.
Other colours are available, but generally only for a colour laser printer (which usually has 4 cartridges with different colours, these can be then combined by the printer to make any colour).
I’ve not encounter a replacement cartridge for a mono laser printer in colours other than black, but that doesn't mean to say they don't exist!
Perhaps a superior option would be to invest in a colour laser printer - they’re significantly cheaper than they used to be.
