I’ve a Canon Powershot A620 and want to buy a good photo printer. I’ve looked at the HP Photosmart A440 Printer Dock and a bunch of others. I need your views on which pic printer is the best for high quality/resolution photo printing. Thanks in advance!

Answer:
If you’re just wanting a 4X6 printer do not buy the HP A440. The Hp 4X6 printers use a single tri-colored ink cartridge for printing. For amature to professional pic printing, you need atleast a 6 ink printer. If you only want a 4X6 printer, then go for one of the Epsons. The Epson 4X6 printers use a 4 ink print pack that includes black. The HP does not provide a black ink, therefore the HP combines the 3 colors (cyan, magenta and yellow) to make black. I’ve performed side-by-side comparisons and the Epson's beat the socks off the HP's. You can buy a Epson PictureMate (4X6 printer) online or from the manufacturer's website. Trust me do not waste your money on the HP. The Epson's have been rated #1 4X6 printer 3 years in a row.

If you want to print more massive than 4X6, I would suggest the RX595 or RX680. These printers have 6 individual ink cartridges and a MicroPiezo printhead. What this means is that you are getting precisely measured ink droplets (http://www.epson.co.jp/e/technology/prin… ranging in size from 1.5-5 picoliters (human red blood cell is 3 picoliters). The 5 ink droplet sizes combine to increase print speeds (4X6 in 11 seconds) and provide smooth graduations of colors and fine details.

These printers also print images and text directly onto ink jet printable CDs and DVDs; restore old, faded color photos; transfer files from your memory card to your computer; or archive documents and pics with the built-in scan-to-PDF feature. They also feature built-in Auto Photo Correction with advanced face detection, so those dark pictures you have, where you can not see the subject are automatically corrected.

They have color LCD screens and multipurpose card slots to make it easier to view, select, crop and enlarge pics, without using a computer. It’s just as easy to print pics from your digital camera or mobile phone.

Ever wondered how to print those photos from your cell phone, this is how. There’s also an optional Bluetooth adapter, so you can print photos directly from your bluetooth devices.
